Online Access
Did you know that you can access the Citrus
County Library's database from your home computer? All you need is
an internet connection and a telnet program.
What You
Can Do From Home
You can search the database just as if you were at the library
terminal. Certain research resources are only available to you at
the library terminal.
From your home computer you can do a variety of things:

Search for books

Request title from other branches be sent to your nearest branch for pickup

Make interlibrary loan request for books in library outside of our County
The following on-line services require you to know your
library card and PIN numbers.
Your library card number is printed on your card.
Your PIN number is the last 4 digits of your SS#.
(If you did not give your SS# when you obatined
your library card then you will not be able to access the Borrower Information
or request books by telnet.)

Check to see what books you have on loan

Check to see if any books you have borrowed are overdue

Renew books on line
Many internet browsers currently on the market can be used
to telnet. Find out if you browser is properlyconfigured by typing
the following into location window of your browser: telnet://ALPHA.CCLIB.ORG
or click this link. After you are connected, log in as
"guest".
If this did not work for you then you may need to configure
your browser properly or download a free TELNET program..

How Do You Use
This Database
The best way to learn to use the libary system is to go to
your local branch and ask a librarian to explain the computer terminal
to you. They are more than willing to help you to learn to use the
library resources. You can also tour the library as a group if you
prefer.
