Questionnaire

These are some questions that every homeschool parent needs to take time to consider, including you.  So take some time to sit down and go over them.  To help you along, example answers have been given for some of the questions.
Why are you homeschooling or considering homeschooling?
    • Conviction of the Lord.
    • Public and private education did not offer the type of  environment or educational materials the Lord showed me were neccesary for the  training up of my children.  They were not sufficient for acquiring a Godly world  view.

Name 1-3 long-term goals that you would like to see accomplished in your homeschool by the time each child graduates. (What follow are sample answers)

    • To instill Godly character into the children so that they are constantly being  conformed to the image of Christ.  Romans 8:29
    • To give them enjoyable educational experiences so that they will pursue   knowledge and become life long lovers of learning.  Proverbs 2:1-6
    • To teach them to reason and to think on their own rather than to be imitators of other thoughts.  Proverbs 4:7
Write each of your children's names on a piece of paper.  Name one goal, for each child, in the following areas:  academic, character development, practical skills.  Focus on things that you would like to see developed in the coming year.

List any special interests, resources, talents, CIRCUMSTANCES (we all have them) that will be present for your family next year?

(ie.) having a baby, moving, buying a computer, going on a trip etc., live on a horse  ranch, a possible new business, less funds than last year, computer, internet, publishing.
