Mission Statement

CCHEA members seek to offer support and encouragement to each other and pray for the needs of new and experienced homeschooling parents. We support the spiritual and academic excellence of our children by striving to provide a variety of educational and social activities.  Our Christian purpose is to glorify the Lord in all activities. As such, we will not provide, participate in, or knowingly endorse activities that would in anyway dishonor our Lord.   We are a Christian home school community that recognizes we are united by our mutual love of Jesus Christ, our sincere desire to follow in His steps and His will for our lives, and our love for the children He has blessed us with.

Statement of Faith

“Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace”Eph.4: 3

We are a Christian home school community that recognizes that we are united by our mutual love of Jesus Christ, our sincere desire to follow His steps and His will for our lives, and our love for the children He has blessed us with.

Ÿ       We believe in one God, the creator of all things, eternal, infinite, perfect, and manifested in three persons as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 1:1-3; Isaiah 44:6-8; Matt. 28:19; Mark 12:29; Duet. 6:4; Isaiah 43:10)

Ÿ       We believe the Holy Bible, both the Old Testament and the New, is the inspired Word of God, the inerrant and entire revelation of God’s will for salvation, and the Divine and the final authority for the Christian faith and life. (II Tim. 3:15-17)

Ÿ       We believe Jesus Christ was God manifested in the flesh, true God and true man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the virgin Mary. (Isaiah 7:14; Matt. 1:23; Isaiah 9:6)

Ÿ       We believe in Jesus’ sinless life, His miraculous ministry, His substitutionary death on the cross as an atonement for our sins, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His ascension into heaven to serve as our intercessor before the Father. (John 1:14; Hebrews 7:25, 26)

Ÿ       We believe in salvation only through the blood of Jesus.  Man was created good but by voluntary transgression fell, and his ONLY hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ. (Rom. 3:23; Rom. 10:13-15; Eph. 2:8; John 3:3-8; I John 1:7-9) This causes us to enter the family of God by an experience called the “New Birth” as Jesus taught Nicodemus in John chapter 3.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren  to dwell in unity!” Ps.133:1

Field Trip Etiquette

      Preparing For The Field Trip:

  • Make reservations well in advanced
  • Keep a copy of the information about the field trip on hand. BE RESPONSIBLE!
  • If there is a fee, make sure the all of the money is collected in advance. (If your money arrives late, you may not be able to attend and your money will be refunded to you.)
  • There will be NO refunds for any field trip that you signed up for and did not attend. Forty-eight hours is required on all cancellations. Sometimes, there are people that need to make late cancellations for an event. If you know another CCHEA member that wants to attend the field trip, you may ask if they want to take your place.
  • Only sign up for field trips that are age appropriate for your children.  Arrangements may be made with other families to co-op so that one parent could stay home with the younger children.

      Day of the Field Trip:

  • Be on Time! Arrive 15-20 minutes early for organizational time and prayer. Late-comers are disruptive.
  • Wear appropriate attire. Clothes should always be clean and neat.  Some field trips require “Sunday Best”.  Field trip facilitators will advise attendees of any dress codes.
  • Parents or designated adult should stay with their child.  Remember this is not a free babysitting service day. It is an educational event. You are responsible for your child’s behavior. Arrange with another adult to be responsible for your other children if you need to attend to the needs of one (unruly child, restroom, etc.).
  • Children should behave in an appropriate manner, with courtesy and respect.
  • Touch only when permitted. Stay quiet when an adult is speaking. Raise a hand when asking a question. Walk on sidewalks where provided (the right side). Observe all the rules of the facility visiting (Hebrews 10:24).
  • It is especially important that your child exhibit obedience and respect for you, their parents. Children should also respect each other (Ephesians 6:1).

Follow up to the Field Trip:

  • Field Trip Facilitator should make sure a thank you note is sent. Have a card ready for the kids to sign as you leave. Mail it right away or walk it back in before you leave (if appropriate).
  • Discuss what you learned as result of the field trip as a group (if possible).
  • Field Trip Facilitator should hand out “Field Trip Questionnaires “ and/or picture page for each child to complete. Parents will over-see this. Children may even write a personal thank you note to the host and/or coordinator at the facility.
  • Field trip facilitators should submit any photographs and information to the Public Relations Coordinator.
